SBS elastomer modified asphalt waterproof membrane is made of high quality asphalt and Styrene Butadiene Styrene elastomer resin as modified material, and is made into polymer modified asphalt material by special process. Polyester felt, glass fiber felt, glass fiber reinforced polyester felt are used as the base, elastic modified asphalt coating layer is coated on both sides and the surface is polythene membrane, fine sand, mineral particles, etc.

Classification and specification
* According to the tire base: it can be divided into polyester felt(PY), glass fiber felt(G) and glass fiber reinforced polyester felt(PYG).
* According to the upper surface isolation materials are divided into polyethylene film( PE), fine sand(S), mineral pellets (M).
* According to the under surface isolation materials are divided into fine sand(S), polyethylene film(PE)
* According to material properties are divided into Type I and type II .

Construction technology
* Base treatment: the base must be flat, dry, moisture content ≤ 9%, and then with cold base oil evenly brush the base surface, until it is dry before the construction.
* Roll laying sequence: laying from high to low, the same height first far then near, the same plane begin go laying from the low.
Laying method:
1: Hot-melt method: with a flame gun or other heating tools to heat the bottom side and the base of the rolling material evenly, when the surface asphalt begins to melt to black .and bright, lay the material while baking and compacting it with the press roll. Meanwhile, adjust the size and speed of the flame, the asphalt temperature is kept between 200-250℃. When the construction is completed, use the cold tackifier is used to seal the lap edge.
2: Cold bonding method: using rubber scraper to evenly coat polymer modified asphalt adhesive or cold adhesive such as cold resin on the surface of the base, and controlling the thickness is even, while laying the coil with a rubber stick removing the air and with compaction. When the ambient temperature is less than 15℃, the hot melt method should be used to deal with the lap position and the coil head position.
* Lapping treatment: when long side lap, single layer waterproof vertical and horizontal lap width≥100mm, double layer waterproof should be ≥80MM; short side lap, single layer should be ≥150, double layer should be ≥100. At the same time, the paste should be uniform and coating or melting can’t be missed . There should be a small amount of extra hot asphalt or cold adhesive to be extruded and formed into strips.
* Inspection and acceptance: after the completion of construction, a thorough inspection should be carried out to ensure that the waterproof surface has no drum, wrinkles, shedding and large shell lifting, to make it smooth and beautiful, so as to ensure the waterproof life of the rolled material.
* Waterproof layer protection: protective layer should be made according to the <<Technical specification for roofing engineering >>.

Matters need attention
* Construction is strictly prohibited on rainy and snowy days and above the 5 grade gale.
* The temperature of the construction environment can’t be lower than 0℃.
* When precipitation occurs during construction, the protection of the coiled material should be done well.
* The distance between the nozzle of the flame heater and the surface of the coil shall be moderate, the heating inside the width should be uniform. Melt the coil surface to the bright black, and the coil shall not be overheated.
* Construction site safety protection facilities are complete, and put according to the provisions of fire equipment.
Application Range
* Waterproof for layers of industrial and civil buildings, planting concrete slabs, roof, parking lot.
* Waterproof for basements, mines, tunnels and subway stations in industrial and civil buildings
* Highway, railway, bridge deck concrete waterproof works.
Transport and storage
* The coil should be stored in a dry and ventilated environment, and protective measures should be taken to avoid sun and rain.
* During transportation, products of different types and specifications should be stacked in categories and can’t be mixed up; far from heat sources, no contact with acid, alkali, oil and organic solvents.
* During transport, it should be placed horizontal or vertical to prevent tilt, pressure and if necessary, cover with felt cloth.
* Storage temperature not exceeding 45℃, height of amplifier not exceeding 5 layers.
* Under normal storage and transportation conditions, the storage period is 12 months from the date of production. Once exceed the storage period, the products can also be used normally after passing the inspection.
